It was a long week for me. Work took up most of it, and honestly, I felt completely drained. I needed a break, the kind that would recharge me and put some life back into me again.
And we got a nice long weekend 😀
It’s a 3-day weekend, yay!
It was the first day of the three-day long weekend, and without overthinking it, we decided to go for a picnic by the beach. I quickly did some research (with ChatGPT, of course) and found the perfect spot to spend this lovely summer day. It was Seaham Glass Beach. It’s called Glass Beach because you can literally find glass-like transparent stones on the beach and even bring back a nice bag of shiny stones for decoration. So, yeah, we got ready.
Priyanka was excited too! To be completely honest with you – it was her idea to spend a day at the beach 🏖️
She prepared a picnic basket. Yes, we took a nice picnic basket with a ton of food in it.
It had Pasta, Mango, Sweets, Juice, Eggs, Water and chocolates. Quite heavy to be honest. I had to carry it all the way so I know 😄
We arrived finally…
By the time we got there, we were both hungry. So without wasting much time, we spread out the beach carpet, pinned down all four corners with nails, and opened up the picnic basket to dig right in.
It was amazing to look at the vast North Sea while we enjoy our pasta and sweets ❤️
The sky was a beautiful blue with just a touch of clouds drifting across it. Kids were playing all around, dogs were running about full of energy, and the sound of the ocean filled the air in the most calming way. Everything felt so alive and peaceful at the same time. It was one of those simple moments that instantly makes you stop and take it all in. It was just WOW!

It was a fun outing, and if you are looking for a nice picnic, this place has it all. Especially if you have children, because they will have a great time exploring glass stones, digging holes, and just swimming if it’s warm enough. The combination of beautiful scenery, tasty food, and joyful activities makes it an ideal spot for creating lasting memories.
So, pack your picnic basket, grab your loved ones, and head to Seaham Glass Beach for a day of fun in the sun!
